Woodies on the Wharf, Santa Cruz, CA - June 25th & 26th

This past weekend (June 25th & 26th) found the Millers enjoying the annual Woodies on the Wharf event in Santa Cruz.  Every year, this event promises to be a fun, family-oriented event with multi-generation families attending year after year.  With an unusual array of Woodies providing the visual attraction, participants of this show keep the party going with tailgate parties, karaoke, and just good old-fashion family fun.  Check back over the weekend to see the Woodies on the Wharf photo gallery that will be posted very soon!

Seasonal Maintenance Tips & Ideas

Since summer usually means people will be driving more, it's a good practice to consider the maintenance needs of your vehicle in the early (cooler!) part of the season.  This may help prevent possible breakdowns and other mishaps.  Routine practices can be as simple as changing air filters, changing the oil and making sure all your fluids, such as the  coolant are full.  As well, taking the time to maintain the exterior of your vehicle, such as cleaning and waxing it not only keep your car looking great all summer long, but also help to protect and preserve your paint job.  Click here  to see our full line of Surf City Exterior Car Car products.

Car Show News

                                                                  Wings, Warbirds and Wheels Car and Plane Show - Paso Robles Airport, May 14, 2011

This year, we were pleased to participate in the 3rd Annual Warbirds and Wheels Car and Plane Show.  This has become an annual event hosted by the Warbirds Museum and with almost 300 registered show cars and a fleet of restored vintage military aircraft and other vehicles, it proved to be a success!  We would like to thank all those who worked so hard to organize this year's event.  It was a blast to contribute not only to the judging of the show cars, but also to debut our new vendor trailer, which will be our mobile show space for upcoming events.  Thanks again, Warbirds Museum, and we'll see you next year.

First and foremost, we want to wish all of our customers a Happy New Year!  We have been having fantastic weather and we are hoping that all our fellow car enthusiasts took advantage of the warm weather to get their hot rods out of the garage!  In my opinion, there is no place like San Luis Obispo County for taking a leisurely weekend drive.  Ever-anxious to keep cruisers cruising, Freedom Street Rods is open every day except Sunday and our staff of seasoned hot-rodders are here eager to help you with your parts needs.

Atascadero’s newest, but already-popular restaurant, CalTerra Trattoria is now hosting a Hot Rod Get-Together every Saturday morning.  We at Freedom Street Rods say there’s no better way to start your weekend off than with good company and an affordable yet delicious breakfast.   And of course, the real attraction is outside in the parking lot, where a wonderful variety of colorful vintage automobiles sit on display.  If you are local to this area and looking for something to do Saturday mornings, or if you’re just driving through, please feel free to stop by and check it out!  We hope to see you there.
